Combine a two night stay in Jasper National Park with a morning Winter Wildlife Discovery Tour OR a Maligne Canyon Icewalk Tour and one of our Train Journeys (Dunster Train Tour operating Sundays and McBride Train Tour operating Thursdays) for this incredible mid-season deal! All tours include hotel pick up and drop off for your convenience! 

On one day of your holiday experience the Canadian Rocky Mountains by road and rail including a stop at Mount Robson; the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies! On the other day of your holiday you will experience your choice of a Winter Wildlife Discovery Tour or a Maligne Canyon Icewalk Tour. 

Option 1 (Wildlife Tour): Experience incredible scenery on a three hour guided wildlife tour through Jasper National Park; learn about the history of the area, search for elk, deer, sheep, goats, coyotes, wolves, moose, eagles, owls and more!

Option 2 (Icewalk): This is one of Jasper’s most popular and impressive winter adventures. Your SunDog tour guide will take you on a guided walk to the bottom of Maligne Canyon where you can view amazing waterfalls and ice formations from below.  You will learn about Jasper’s Maligne Valley, Karst Topography, and the mystery of the disappearing Medicine Lake.

Your stay must revolve around a Sunday or a Thursday so plan accordingly. Wildlife Tour/Icewalk Tour and Train Tour must be done on separate days.

    Option 1: Discover Jasper and it's Wildlife

    Three hour morning wildlife tour with our friendly, professional & knowledgeable guide, experiencing beautiful scenery while on the search for wildlife.

    Option 2: Maligne Canyon Icewalk

    Three hour guided tour of Maligne Canyon; experience the canyon from both above and within, viewing frozen waterfalls and ice formations, learn about Jasper’s Maligne Valley, Karst topography, and the mystery of the disappearing Medicine Lake. 

    Absolutely! Maximum room occupancy is 4 people; after 2 people, ask our friendly staff the additional cost per person.
    The price to add a child between ages 2-12 will cost $99/child +GST. 

     

    You bet! Add additional nights for $129/night +GST for 2 people. If your group has additional adults, each will cost $10 extra per additional night. 

     

     

    Coming from Edmonton? No problem! Catch our daily shuttle for $99.00 +GST per person including return trip in combination with this package. 

    Unfortunately, as the train is operated by VIA Rail Canada, these are the only dates available to complete this tour. 

    This tour will be primarily on our SunDog bus so dress comfortably but wear layers as part of this tour will take you outside to learn more about the area and its animals. Feel free to bring water and snacks and don’t forget your camera!!

    This tour is outside so dress accordingly to weather – warm clothes, mittens, hats, etc. During very cold temperatures you are encouraged to wear snow pants. We do provide boots for this tour, however, our guide will evaluate your boots if you would like to wear your own to determine if they are warm enough. We provide boots, ice cleats and helmets, poles can be provided as well if you would like them. 

    This tour operates Sundays only and begins on a 3 hour train tour to Dunster Station in British Columbia. Our driver/guide will see you off at the VIA Rail Station and meet you in Dunster, B.C. to pick you up and return you to Jasper on a guided tour with scenic stops and information on the area. This tour is roughly 5-6 hours in total beginning at 12:00pm. Bring your cameras, this is a beautiful way to experience the mountains! 

    This tour operates Thursdays only and begins on a bus ride with guided tour to McBride, British Columbia. Expect scenic stops along the way and information on the Canadian Rocky Mountains. This tour is slightly longer than our Dunster option as it is a little bit further away. You can expect a 6-7 hour tour in total, starting at 9:30am. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!
